  • To reduce the mortality rate in children under five years of age and to teach parents and local populations skills in providing basic hygiene.
  • To reduce the number of infectious diseases.
  • To educate and inform the populations about the prevention of children diseases.
  • To develop and implement a health program in collaboration with the International Red Cross.

ACTION: To build schools

MISSION

  • To improve learning conditions.
  • To provide children with a better knowledge and tools to improve their living conditions.
  • To enhance communication methods between people and countries in order that they may help and assist each other.
  • To provide children with the necessary tools in order to improve their own lives, and restore hope in reducing or eliminating suffering as much as possible.


Province of Pailin-Battambang, Cambodia.

A project in progress: the construction of a ten beds clinic and an elementary school in the village of Opreu. There are 1,612 residents, 312 of whom are school-aged children. An example of an urgent project undertaken by IARNSCThe next phase in the building of a school in the village of Opreu for a populationof 312 school-aged children. The project was carried out by IARNSC.



ACTION: To build artesian wells

MISSION

  • To provide access to non polluted water for both nutritional and hygienic needs.
  • To prevent children drinking from surface water holes and water pounds where livestock also drink.
  • To prevent children from walking several kilometres daily carrying containers with polluted water.
  • To grow vegetables during the dry season.

A pump-activated artesian well: an example of a well dug by IARNSC to meet the urgent need for drinkable water.Another example of an artesian well built by IARNSC. One of the members of the association is present.



Province de Takeo, Cambodge.

Construction of a water reservoir loca-ted near the village of Samrreong in 2002 by IARNSC and Canadians of Cambodian descent. The reservoir,which measures 75m x 45m x 5.5m, is to be used during the dry season for market gardening and to meet other needs of this community. A functional reservoir used to supply water during the dry season for market and local gardening and to meet other needs of this community.

We can see the anthousiasm of the children here. We must preserve this presence amongst us because it is also an unifying source of wealth!
