The association would like to personally thank two volunteer members, Mr. Somphone Samonekeo and Mr. Viraphanh Sattatn for personally taking charge of the humanitarian projects in Lao (Champassak and Sayaboury provinces).

Other work done in Cambodia and Laos during the process of completing the projects

- Recruitment of volunteer workers
- Setup of official offices
- Organization of administrative structures
- Prospect and list of new projects for the future

On around 150 assessments – of which around 25 have been studied, we can say that drinkable water is totally missing. Concerning education and health, there is a more than an urgent need for schools and clinics in many areas.

The association has for this last period established an important documentation that can lead us to foresee other projects that can be evaluated to an approximate number of 150 artesian wells, 8 clinics and 12 schools.

Another important factor for the Association: enriched by new volunteer people who now work for the same and good cause, without forgetting their important status which can most certainly help the Association’s goal.

It is important to underline two other chief factors in order to complete this work.

-To now have people from the governments in place with us, working for the same cause, but also as volunteer members for the IARNSC.

- Also to have obtained from the construction companies estimates below our own (that is estimates without profit), a token of respect and kindness towards poverty. By the same token, the companies see themselves develop a form of partnership with the same regard as being volunteers.

This is a very positive mission bringing us to our present and crying need: to obtain substantial funding, essential and urgent, this in order to be able to begin the big projects in October 2010. We must also realize and understand the importance of being present there again this year, since now the government in place sees the Association as unique, one that does not gain profit from poverty, that is serious and respectful in its actions which are to give entirely all of its charitable donations to the destitute people. We cannot permit ourselves to do nothing, and to postpone the promise of larger projects. Let us consider also the official opening and registration of the offices that the Ministries of Cambodia and Laos have granted us.

Concerning the next step, this we consider extremely important, because the governments in place in Cambodia and Laos have now accepted and officially agreed to our projects. Also let us not forget the teams in place as well as all the companies who are waiting for the green light to start the work: infrastructures, clinics and schools.

A series of photos of the completed projects will be presented during the next general meeting as well as a detailed progress report of present and future projects.
