FORMAL ASSURANCE AND FUTURE PLANS

Through visits to several Cambodian and Laotian provinces, the IARNSC and its members have become well positioned to meet the actual needs of these communities and reach its objectives without any obstacles of a personal nature standing in the way. Working for oneself can never lead to full accountability and genuine integrity. With the experience acquired over the years, members of the IARNSC have learned to recognize negative approaches and solve problems through on-going social work. It is because of this attitude that the distinctive character of the IARNSC has been recognized by others.

The IARNSC and its members have always wanted to ensure that all parties working for this humanitarian cause are aware of the social implications of their interventions. Are these groups actually working for others or for their own interests? All the support we give as individuals is for the common good of a community that is desperately in need. Through its character, its presence and its involvement, the Association and its members play a crucial role in meeting the needs of those who are without resources and who live in dire poverty.

The potential requests for assistance for the building of infrastructures are currently as follows: 104 buildings including 10-bed medical clinics and elementary schools, 104 artesian wells and 66 additional wells. These projects are limited to ten provinces. We believe, however, that needs of an urgent nature are actually double that which we have observed and recorded.

The association and its members believe that we cannot rest as long as there are urgent needs such as those we have identified, still exist. One thing is certain : only lack of funding can hinder our efforts. Success is only possible if everyone has the power to meet the needs of people, and in particular of children who live in such extreme poverty.

The association and its members know all too well that nothing can be accomplished unless everyone joins together and gives a genuine voluntary input without ever losing sight of the mission at hand. Working for those who are suffering and who lack the very basics is not a job, but rather a calling where self-sacrifice is the key to success.
